This policy explains how Optimise Group (Pty) Ltd ("Optimise Group", "we", "our", "us") handles personal information in connection with this website. We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and apply its requirements as our standard.

1. Information we collect

This site has no sign-up forms, no accounts and no comment features. The personal information we receive through it is limited to:

• Correspondence. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, contact details and the content of your message.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) processes standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to deliver and secure the site. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

2. The Optimise Performance Diagnostic

The diagnostic on this site runs entirely inside your own browser. Your answers are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, are not written to cookies, local storage or session storage, and are discarded the moment you close or reload the page. We do not receive your score and we cannot see that you took it.

If you choose to press the button that emails your result to us, your own email client opens with the figures pre-typed. Nothing is sent until you press send yourself, and at that point the information reaches us as ordinary correspondence under section 1 above.

3. Cookies, analytics and third parties

This site does not set cookies and does not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts of any kind. All fonts, stylesheets and scripts are served from our own domain, so loading this site makes no requests to third-party servers and discloses your IP address to nobody other than our hosting provider.

4. How we use personal information

We use the information described above only to respond to your enquiries, to carry on correspondence you initiate, and to operate and secure the site. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or direct marketing lists.

5. Sharing

We share personal information only with service providers that host our infrastructure (such as our hosting and email providers), where required by law, or with your consent. Providers may process data outside South Africa; where they do, we rely on their compliance with data-protection standards substantially similar to POPIA.

6. Storage, security and retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, after which it is deleted.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@optimisegroup.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

8. Children

This site is aimed at business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one.
